*Quit if smoking
*Avoid alcohol and caffeine
*Get rid of passive smoking
*Drink water,at least 8 glass of water per day
*Humidify your home
*Stay away from spicy food, acidic drinks and alcohol
*Avoid speaking too long and too loud.
*Try to learn to regulate your respiration while speaking
*Take a professional speech therapy.
*Do not cough if you cough a lot.
*Try to decrease your stress.
*Take a lot of water if you are using antihistaminics. These can dry tissues.
*Do not use menthol.
*Try to not to talk long at phone. Try to talk few and take a deep breath before talking.
*If you feel a problem then make your voice rest, avoid singing.
*If it lasts longer than 2 weeks, it can be a sign of an important disesase. Admit to an ear, nose, throat expert.

I am writing to you from St. John's, Newfoundland (Canada). I have a sinus problem started in Nov 2008 upon working for more than a month in a gas plant. I did not have sinus problems prior to this date.

At that time, I may have been exposed to airborne asbestos and other irritants. In the place where I lived at that time, the Winter is so harsh. Temperature during Winter is normally at least 25 Cecilius below zero.
